Hust. Ähm, AOL kann das schon sehr lange (IIRC gleichzeitig mit Version
8 der AOL-eigenen Software eingeführt). Das ging schon unter Woody.

Da gab es sogar mal eine Längen- und Zeichenbegrenzung. Keine Ahnung, ob
die noch gültig ist. War auch mal im Forum auf der folgenden Seite zu

Man brauchte bei AOL aber IIRC in der /etc/ppp/peers/(aol-)provider die
Option 'default-asyncmap'. Ist aber schon so lange her, dass ich das mal
eingerichtet habe, dass sich auch einiges geändert haben könnte.
