debarchiver --version != Version gemäß aptitude

Diesmal wieder eine generische Frage von mir.
Wie aus vergangenen postings zu erkennen ist, beschäftigt mich gearde
debarchiver ein wenig. :-)
Bin dabei auf folgende Unregelmäßigkeit gestoßen:
"debarchiver --version" liefert eine andere Versionsinformation als das Debian
Paketmanagement.

"debarchiver" ist ein perl-Programm und ich vermute, dass man einfach im
Abschnitt "#### HELP ####" (im Perl Quellcode) den Eintrag "$version
= "0.2.0";" auf "$version = "0.6.1";" ändern müsste.
Zwei Fragen dazu:
1.) Ist das ein (kleiner und unbedeutsamer) Bug?
2.) Gibt man so etwas über das Debian BTS weiter?
