Hab ich nicht installiert, kann ich dir jetzt nicht genau sagen. Aber
schau mal was
$ cat /etc/X11/fluxbox/fluxbox-menu|grep xemacs
sagt. Dann siehst du, wie der aufgerufen wird.

xfstt ist bei XFree4x nicht mehr notwendig. Du kannst den Pfad zu den Schriften in
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 eintragen und dann neustarten.

Ohne Neustart des XServers sollte
'xset fp+ /var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType'
genügen, sofern das Paket "ttf-bitstream-vera" installiert ist.
