debootstrap: Installation schlägt fehl

So, jetzt muss ich mich doch noch mal melden (ich hab's ja
angedroht ;-) )

Und hab ich jetzt eine debootstrap Installation versucht. Testing
existiert ja (z. Z.?) anscheinend nicht (und ist wohl wg. eines Bugs
auch unbrauchbar). Sid schlägt fehl mit:

> # debootstrap --arch i386 sid /chroot/sid/ \

Scheint's wohl auch gerade nur für stable und oldstable zu geben...

Also Installation von sarge mit upgrade danach:

Nach einem vorherigen mounten mit:
proc /chroot/testing/proc proc defaults 0 0
hilft leider auch nicht weiter...

Wie komme ich jetzt weiter?

P.S. ich hätte als alternative auf einem anderen (per ssh erreichbaren)
Rechner ein testing liegen. Notfalls kann ich das auch rüberkopieren
(ich weiß bloß noch nicht wie :-) ) 
Lieber wäre mir aber die andere Variante, weil mir ein minimal-debian
für den chroot ausreicht!
