UDMA 5 nicht verfügbar.
ja hallo erstmal,..
ich habe hier auf meinem Notebook ein eigenartiges Problem:
Mir gelingt es nicht unter etch mit dem Debian-Kernel oder mit einem
selbstgebauten Kernel udma5 zu nutzen, obwohl dies mit Knoppix und
eingeschalteter dma-Unterstützung wunderbar läuft.
Also, erstmal der Reihe nach.
Der IDE-Controller indentifiziert sich als:

Im Bootlog von etch (bei meinem Kernel) wird er gefunden mit

Hier sehe ich nicht wirklich einen wesentlichen Unterschied. (Außer, dass
Knoppix nichts zum udma-level des CD-Roms sagt...). Trotzdem komme ich mit
hdparm unter Knoppix auf 30 MB/sec und unter Debian auf 25 MB/sec.
Woran kann das liegen? (Ich habe schon versucht möglichst wenig, oder
möglichst viele IDE-Treiber mit in den Kernel zu nehmen, leider ohne
Erfolg...)
