Auch wenn Deine Digitalkamera ging... hast Du den USB Masstorage Support
im Kernel?
Ich selbst nutze den iPod auch unter Linux (2.6.16).

Der wird wohl benötigt AFAIR, denn der iPod wird als /dev/sdxx Device
angelegt.
