bei mir ist es ähnlich...
Ich habe hier einen Athlon am Laufen, Kernel wurde mit Processor 
Family Athlon/Duron/K7 (MK7) gebaut.

root@icarus:/boot# uname -a
Linux icarus 2.6.10 #1 Sat Jan 15 16:53:07 CET 2005 i686 GNU/Linux
root@icarus:/boot# uname --version
uname (coreutils) 5.2.1
...
root@icarus:/boot# grep 686 /boot/config-2.6.10
# CONFIG_M686 is not set
# CONFIG_SENSORS_VIA686A is not set
root@icarus:/boot# grep MK7 /boot/config-2.6.10
CONFIG_MK7=y

Das versteht wer will...
