dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 stellt falsche Werte ein (2.Versuch)
Hallo,
dies ist mein zweiter Versuch. Ich bin inzwischen etwas weiter, aber
dpkg-reconfigure stellt offenbar falsche Werte ein:

Subject: Neuer Monitor: dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 ohne Wirkung

Hallo,
ich habe mir einen TFT-Monitor zugelegt (Philips 190S5, 19 ''). Als
Bildschirm-Auflösung war unter KDE und Gnome maximal 1152x864
möglich.
Ich versuche vergeblich, die optimale Auflösung, 1280x1024 @ 60 Hz,
einzustellen.
Dann habe ich die md5sum geprüft, dpkg-reconfigure gemacht und neu
gestartet.
Der Monitor zeigt, wenn XFree startet, die Fehlermeldung
"Cannot display this video mode, change computer display to
1280x1024 @ 60 Hz"
und der Bildschirm bleibt schwarz.
Die XF86Config-4 habe ich dann noch manuell um diese Einstellung
"1280x1024 @ 60Hz"
xxxxxxx
ergänzt.
Damit startet der Monitor allerdings mit 1024x768.
Wo kann der Fehler liegen?
Die XF86Config-4 füge ich als Anlage bei.
Gruß,
Lutz
