XFS-Quota mit quotatool

Ich hab hier ein Problem mit FS-Quotas bei XFS. Irgendwie funktioniert
mein Script welches Quotas bei ext3 verwaltet hat bei XFS nicht mehr.
Wenn ich quota's mit quotatool setzen will, bekomme ich die folgende
Fehlermeldung:
edu-fs01:/home/edu-fs01# quotatool -dv -u markus.schabel /home/edu-fs01
quotatool: using uid markus.schabel
quotatool: Option 'd' => just dumping quota-info for user
quotatool: using filesystem /home/edu-fs01
quotatool: user 'markus.schabel' has uid 10321
quotatool: filesystem /home/edu-fs01 has device node /dev/sda1
quotatool: Error while detecting kernel quota version: No such process
Eine Suche danach hat mir ein paar französische Seiten gebracht...
wenn ich's aber mit "edquota -u markus.schabel" setze, funktioniert es
wunderbar. es gibt keine fehlermeldung und ein dd schreit brav wenn ich
über die Limits überschreite. Warum gehts nicht mit quotatool? (die
man-page sagt "[..] and also has support for quotas on XFS."
achja, ist ein 2.6.5 mit:
edu-fs01:/home/edu-fs01# grep "QUOTA" /boot/config-2.6.5
CONFIG_XFS_QUOTA=y
CONFIG_QUOTA=y
CONFIG_QUOTACTL=y
und quotatool 1.4.4, edquota 3.11
das ganze debian (natürlich ;)) sarge
