In der Kernelkonfiguration (2.6, File Systems => Partition Types) steht
bei mir folgendes:

PC BIOS (MSDOS partition tables) support
  BSD disklabel (FreeBSD partition tables) support
  Minix subpartition support
  Solaris (x86) partition table support
  Unixware slices support
