Das ganze Komplett (irgendwo scheint ein Timeout zu fehlen, ich muss
derzeit in den single-user Modus booten und dabei das Kabel von eth0
(eine Intel e100) abgezogen haben, da er sonst nach dem Initialisieren
von eth0 haengt. Dann kann ich das Kabel einstecken und auf runlevel 2
gehen.

Ich denke ja. Ich habe den letzten stabilen Kernel von kernel.org
geladen, die firmware nach

kopiert,
die wireless-tools installiert, den Kernel nach der Anleitung
konfiguriert und gepatcht.

Ich bin in der Anleitung im Abschnitt "Compilation" dem Weg 1) gefolgt.
Probiere grade mal Nummer 2) aus:
