Hmm, "cups stopped with status 22" in google geworfen bringt als ersten
Treffer 'www.linuxprinting.org/pipermail/hp-list/2003q3/003824.html'.
Dort eine Mail vornedran steht:
Till said, "It seems that cupsomatic is missing on your machine.
Probably you have missed to install one Gentoo package."
This was the answer. I just emerged foomatic and it upgraded from 2.0
to 3.0 and added a few new packages. I re-added the printer and
everything prints again. Thanks!

Bei Debian heißt das Ding 'foomatic' und das interessante daran dürften
wohl weniger die ppd's sein sondern eher das 'and filter backends'.
