Hallo, folgendes Problem: die Namensaufloesung von `localhost' erfolgt bei mir ueber eine DNS-Anfrage anstatt ueber /etc/hosts direkt auf 127.0.0.1 ohne Anfrage. Konkret: wenn ich online bin und Sachen herunterlade dauert es mitunter sehr lange bis ich im slrn mit dem lokalen Newsserver eine Verbindung bekomme. Es wird also vorher eine DNS-Anfrage durchgefuehrt. Wenn ich als Newsserver 127.0.0.1 eintrage (statt localhost) tritt das Problem nicht auf. Ausserdem tritt das Problem bei einem ganz normalen `telnet 119 localhost' auf, kann also nicht am slrn liegen. Wenn keine Internetverbindung besteht aber trotzdem in der /etc/resolv.conf Nameserver eingetragen sind dauert das Ganze ewig. Ich verwende Debian Woody mit libc6 2.2.5-11.5. Habt ihr eine Idee wie ich das Problem loesen koennte oder muss ich mit 127.0.0.1 vorlieb nehmen?
