Hallo,
dann war meine Vermutung richtig, daß ich den Fontserver gar nicht
brauche. :)
Da ich in XF86Config-4 die Zeile "FontPath unix/:7100" auskommentiert
habe, werden also nur die Fonts in den eingetragenen Directories
verwendet, richtig?
D.h., der xfs wird bei mir überflüssigerweise gestartet und kann
deinstalliert bzw. erst einmal beendet werden.

Jetzt bin ich bei den ganzen Fonts aber etwas verwirrt. Was sollte man
denn auf jeden Fall eingetragen haben, was ist optional?
Ich habe hier 75dpi, 100dpi, unscaled, und dann misc, cyrillic, Type1,
Speedo....
für mich ein heilloses Durcheinander. Vielleicht könnte mir da jemand
helfen, Ordnung reinzubringen?
