dpkg - Versionen Problem

Moin allerseits,

ich möchte ein Paket installieren, dass von python2.2 anhängt.
Auf meinem Rechner ist sowohl python2.1 als auch python2.2 installiert.
dpkg -i paketname" bricht ab mit:
hängt ab von python (>= 2.2); aber:
  Version von python auf dem System ist 2.1.3-4.

Ein Ändern des Symlinks "python" von 2.1 auf 2.2 änderte nichts.

Hat evtl. jemand einen Tip oder das richtige Stichwort?
