ext3 und lvm-snapshots
Hallo zusammen,
hat jemand obige Kombination erfolgreich ans Laufen gekriegt?
Auf meinem Rechner läuft woody. Ich habe es mit folgender Konfiguration versucht:
- selbstgebackener Kernel 2.4.19 mit VFS lock patch aus
ftp.sistina.com/pub/LVM/1.0/lvm_1.0.6.tar.gz, wie folgt konfiguriert:
- CONFIG_MD=y
- CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LVM=y
- CONFIG_EXT3_FS=y
- die normalen woody-Pakete für lvm-common und lvm10
Meine Home-Partition liegt als ext3-FS auf /dev/vg01/lv_home und ist 650MB groß.
Weiteres Vorgehen:
nero:~# lvcreate -L 100M -s -n home_snap/dev/vg01/lv_home
nero:~# lvdisplay /dev/vg01/home_snap
--- Logical volume ---
LV Name /dev/vg01/home_snap
VG Name vg01
LV Write Access read only
LV snapshot status active destination for /dev/vg01/lv_home
LV Status available
LV # 4
# open 0
LV Size 652 MB
Current LE 163
Allocated LE 163
snapshot chunk size 64 KB
Allocated to snapshot 12.32% [12.12 MB/98.44 MB]
Allocated to COW-table 1.56 MB
Allocation next free
Read ahead sectors 1024
Block device 58:3
Bisher ist wohl alles OK. Und jetzt will ich das Ding mounten, um ein Backup
davon machen zu können:
nero:~# mount -t ext3 /dev/vg01/home_snap /mnt
mount: block device /dev/vg01/home_snap is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/vg01/home_snap,
or too many mounted file systems
Alle ML-Threads bezüglich ext3 und LVM-snapshots, die Google lieferte,
waren nach dem Hinweis auf den VFS-Lock-Patch beendet oder gaben
Empfehlungen, die mich zu weit von woody entfernt hätten (lvm2 verwenden
wg. writable snapshots). Also habe ich mehrfach gecheckt, ob der Patch
auch appliziert wurde (ja). Und jetzt bin ich ziemlich ratlos.
Ihr auch?
Uwe
