Zip100 - was fehlt noch?
Hallo
Wie empfohlen habe ich mich durch die Doku gegraben, doch es will noch
immer nicht funktionieren. Was habe ich falsch gemacht/vergessen?

Wie man sieht, soll also das Zip-Laufwerk hdb bzw. hdb4 sein.

ich habe also bereits die Zeile für das Zip-Laufwerk eingefügt. Mittels
modconf konnte ich mir ausserdem versichern, dass, wie in linux-gazette
http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue28/lg_tips28.html#atapi empfohlen,
unter kernel/drivers/ide modules das ide-tape nicht aktiviert ist.
Unter /kernel/drivers/scsi modules ist ausserdem ide-scsi für SCSI
emulation support aktiviert. Gleichwohl erscheint (wie man oben sieht)
nicht wie in Linux-Gazette dokumentiert keinen Hinweis wie
hdd: IOMEGA ZIP 100 ATAPI, ATAPI FLOPPY drive - enabling SCSI emulation
man beachte - enabling SCSI emulation. Kann das die Fehlerursache sein,
falls ja, wie muss ich den beheben?
Ach ja: das ist noch interessant: wenn ich /zip mounten will, kommt die
mitteilung, nur der root könne das. ok, ich schalte auf root um, dann
erscheint die meldung:
mount: /dev/hdb4: can't read superblock
kann mir das jemand erklären...?
und ganz am rande, nur aus neugier: wenn man mein kernel - log liest,
stellt man fest, dass in den letzten zeilen redhat (c) vorkommt. debians
kernel oder was auch immer ist doch unabhängig von redhat?
