also ich hab letztens bir mir TrueType-Fonts unter X mit Hilfe
von xfstt installiert... Ich weiss ja nicht, wie du das bei
dir mit den Fonts handhabst. Benutzt du auch nen Fontserver?
Wenn ja, dann brauchst du neben xfs (X-Font-Server) auch noch
xfstt (X-Font-Server mit TrueType Support)
hier erstma nen kleines How-To zu xfstt:
1) (als root) apt-get install xfstt (falls nicht schon
geschehen) 2) (als root) TT-Fonts nach
/usr/share/fonts/truetype kopieren (default-Verzeichnis von
xfstt) 3) (als root) xfstt neustarten mit der force-reload
option: /etc/init.d/xfstt force-reload 4) testen ob alles
läuft: als user:
fslsfonts -server unix/:7101
die folgende Meldung sollte ungefähr so ausehen:
_FSTransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
fslsfonts: unable to open server "unix/:7101"
als root:
fslsfonts -server unix/:7101
nun sollten alle fonts im ordner /usr/share/fonts/truetype
nach diesem schema aufgelistet werden: -ttf-arial
black-medium-r-normal-regular-0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1 -ttf-arial
mt black-medium-r-normal-regular-0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1 -ttf-arial narrow-bold-i-normal-bold
italic-0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1
5) nun in /etc/X11/XF86Config(-4) folgendes eintragen:
Section "Files"
FontPath "unix/:7101" #diese zeile muss rein
FontPath "unix/:7100" # sollte schon drinstehen,
falls du xfs benutzt FontPath
"/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/" # diverse fontpaths nach
diesem schema sollten auch schon drinstehen EndSection
6) X neustarten, einloggen und dann im Terminal als user
xlsfonts | grep ttf
eingeben.
jetzt sollte eine auflistung der installierten TT-Fonts
kommen
Und das wars auch eigentlich schon. Bei mir hats wunderbar
funktioniert. Ich benutze Gnome 1.4 mit Enlightenment. Sawfish
macht jedoch Trouble mit TTF, bzw. xfstt.
Wenn du neue Fonts installieren willst, diese einfach nach
/usr/share/fonts/truetype kopieren, und (als root)
/etc/init.d/xfstt restart ausführen.
