hypertrheading non activé

Bonjour,
j'ai une carte mère asus avec un cpu 2.5M et hyperthreading.
J'ai compilé un noyau 2.6.20.1 avec activation du HT.
Un dmesg montre que le noyau n'a pas activé le HT.
Quelqu'un pourrais me dire ce qu'il fallait faire de plus ?
