nokia 6230i with GNOKII under debian

Hi everybody,

i have to install a nokia 6230i under a debian sarge

I installed gnokii by running « apt-get install gnokii »

In my conf file, i entered « 6510 » as nokia model (i already have tested 6230model but nothing happened)

My phone is connected by a USB cable (i entered in conf file : connection = dku2)

When i run gnokii –identify

It returns me :

debian:~# gnokii --identify

GNOKII Version 0.6.8

IMEI : (unknown)

Manufacturer : Nokia

Model : (unknown)

Revision : (unknown)

Could you help me ?

What does i have to install ???

My Aim is to send sms

(Echo « this is a test » | gnokii –sendsms PHONENUMBER –r)
