make config

je souhaitais recompiler mon noyau pour y intégrer les paquets ndiswrapper, j'ai dézippé mes
sources, mais au moment de configurer j'ai le message d'erreur suivant:
toto@toto-desktop:~$ sudo -i
root@toto-desktop:~# cd /usr/src
root@toto-desktop:/usr/src# cd linux
root@toto-desktop:/usr/src/linux# make config

quelqu'un pourrait-il m'en expliquer la cause et le sens, voire même le remède?
