So eine Fehlermeldung hatte ich noch nie. Schuß in's Blaue:
apt selbst ist zu veraltet und kommt mit der Auflösung der Abhängigkeiten
nicht zurecht. Mach' mal ein
apt-get install apt dpkg
und probier's nochmal...
