[Debian]:ypserv: refused connect

Hi,

in English because this is BCC'ed to a couple KDE developers and also goes
to the KDE list. Reply in whichever you choose (no braille or morse code,
please - en_?? or de_DE).

Whenever I try to use the password protection of KDE screensavers on one of
the NIS-client boxes I get a log entry somewhat like

ypserv: refused connect from $IP to procedure ypproc_match

several times. And the KDE screensaver crashes, and takes the whole X
session down as it goes. Which is kind of annoying, esp. in the context of
me trying to gain a little Linux acceptance in the user base where I
installed these boxen.

How do I configure NIS to allow password protected KDE screensavers?

Client is Mandrake 7.0 with KDE 1.1.2, with nis 3.6-2 and kernel 2.2.14 on
both server and clients. Server is Debian 2.2.

Thanks a lot!
