[Debian]:....now some of my keys no longer work. Why?

seit meinem dist-upgrade von potato auf woody funktionieren im xterm
nicht mehr alle Tasten wie sie sollen. Inzwischen, nach 10000....
X-Neustarts habe ich zumindest "home" und "end" wieder, aber "delete"
produziert nur "~". Besonders lustig verhaelt sich "backspace": am
Prompt ist alles OK, aber im Joe loescht sie die Zeichen unter dem
Cursor (was "delete" eigentlich machen sollte).

In den XFree86-FAQ steht unter "Q.C4- I've installed the latest release
and now some of my keys no longer work. Why?":

The 3.3.5 release is based on X11R6.3 which includes the XKB extension
and has it enabled by default. This may cause the mappings
of some keys on some keyboards to be different than they were in
previous releases. 

See the XF86Config man page and the sample XF86Config file for some
information on setting the key mappings to your liking. 

Alternatively, you can disable the XKB extensions by starting the server
with the -kb option or by adding the keyword XkbDisable to
your XF86Config file.

Also habe ich brav "XkbDisable" eingetragen. Leider hat auch das nichts
genuetzt.

Aus meiner XF86Config:

Da waeren dann noch diverse Files unter /etc/X11/.... an denen ich
erfolglos rumgeschraubt habe.

Hmmm, ich stelle gerade fest, dass "Alt Gr" auch nicht mehr
funktioniert. Vielleicht sollte ich XkbDisable doch wieder disable'n.
Man kann eben doch nicht alles haben....

RTFM? OK, aber welches FM habe ich uebersehen?
