Bitte dann vor allem einen Bugreport an den offiziellen Maintainer
rausschicken! Wenn das so stimmt, wie du es hier darstellst (ich habe
es nicht selbst ausprobiert), dann ist das IMHO ein profitabler Bug.
Abgesehen davon würde ich für den Download via http/ftp immer wieder
nur den "wget" empfehlen:
