Re: Script to check whether modem telephone line in use --- how?

Simple solution, we have another phone downstairs ( i camp with the pc and modem
upstairs).
I bought myself a "privacy" adapter which is basically a phone splitter wich disables
textension "A" if "B" is in use ( and vice versa), thus i do not get disconnected
when they pick the phone up downstairs (Ahummm, well only until im told to get off
the line that is ).
Should solve your problem it works great only allows one line to be active, also has
a led on each :).

cheers
