'apt-get source gimp1.2' :)

You need deb-src lines pointing to unstable, of course. Otherwise, pool
URLs are fairly easy to construct; try
<URL:ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/g/gimp1.2/>, or your nearest
mirror.
