In the beginning, there was Slackware; I got it off a magazine CD.
After a couple of years I got fed up with the problem of finding the
right bits when I wanted to update something, so I decided to change.
I intended to install Red Hat, but it wouldn't boot on my system.
I had a 6 CD set of Linux software, that included Debian (rex, I think)
so I tried Debian and it installed.
Since then I have found no reason to change, and heard plenty of
stories to warn me off from making the attempt.
