Re: Ultra Sparc thoughts
I tried to boot the rescue disk from the debian-sparc archives without
success.
After a <stop a>, I did a "test floppy" which reported success, so I guess
I installed the floppy drive correctly ;-)
When I tried "boot floppy" I got the following:
Boot device: /pci@1f,400/ebus@1/fdthree
Fast Data Access MMU Miss
and I'm back at the OK prompt :-(
There is also a tftpboot.img file that looks promising if I can get an
Ethernet card into my Linux box (which is beginning to look manditory)
Any ideas about the boot floppy would be helpful,
Dwarf
