Indeed it does. You'll not on the bottom of the build log the
version of libgc5 installed.

Well, maybe there's some libgc5 patches that need to be integrated
into libgcj for now.
Sorry I don't have time to investigate. I'm just porting -- basically
making sure packages with sparc build problems have corresponding
RC bugs filed.
