I see that error message, but it seems to be harmless: the LaTeX run
continues. I guess the relevant error is later on:

For any reason the file examples/eps/ex_surface_polynomial.eps could not
be created. I can't reproduce that failure on i386, does it still fails
on amd64 reproducibly?
