Try adding \UseRawInputEncoding as the first line of the file
or specify an encoding such as \usepackage [latin1]{inputenc}
in the document preamble.

we have broken inputenc in current LaTeX / TL, which does not work well
w/ UTF-8. We should re-evaluate after next upload, depending on how fast
the LaTeX github repo is included in TeX Live.
