Agreed.

No. I disagree here. Poppler should be fixed.

Indeed, and I do *not* want you to make this step.

As Kalr pointed out, either we leave it like it is now, and
get poppler do be reasonable, or adding another fake glyph fi/f_i,
but not changing names, this is not a good idea.
