About the archive rebuild: The rebuild was done on EC2 VM instances from
Amazon Web Services, using a clean, minimal and up-to-date chroot. Every
failed build was retried once to eliminate random failures.

Version: 1.7-1

I built the 1.7 packages on amd64 in a clean chroot, thus I assume
the bug is closed and was only creating problems on old perls.
