FYI, I just read on ctt that it is already packaged for Ubuntu. Maybe it is
possible to port the Ubuntu package to Debian, if you are still insterested in
packaing mpm for Debian. (I'm aware that the conclusion of the previous
discussion was that maybe it's not worth the effort now that tlmgr is out, but
well, information never hurts...)
