Example of truetype font packaged for tex?

Hi,

I'm looking for an example debian package which makes a truetype font
available for tex/latex. Is there any?

To be more precise. The actuall problem is not to make the ttf
available for tex/latex but to tell dvips to actually use it.
pdftex doesn't have a problem to find and embed the font into the
output file, but dvips doesn't even know where to look for
the tt font, even if it is listed in ttfonts.map

steinm@ibook:/home/software/fonts/ttf-test$ dvips sample.dvi
This is dvips(k) 5.96 Copyright 2005 Radical Eye Software
(www.radicaleye.com)
' TeX output 2007.04.19:1357' -> sample.ps
dvips: ! Couldn't find header file jvnr8a.ttf.
Note that an absolute path or a relative path with .. are denied in -R2
mode.

BTW, xdvi does find the font. Can anybody help?

  Uwe
