Hi everybody (and merry Christmas), While sitting in the train, I made the Perl scripts in texlive-new work. I have not done anything to fix the "myopen" problem, I simply used open. Moreover, I have added "use strict" and "use warnings" as far as possible, because it helped me to detect problems. I have Internet access only on a PC with a Modem, and the winmodem in my Laptop doesn't work. Therefore I cannot commit the changes to SVN (nor check whether you have already done anything about it). Instead, I send the diff as an attachment. Regards, Frank
