Actually, nothing surprising here. It is basically a question of
updating several libraries. The superb debian package dependency/conflict
system was invented exactly for this purpose. If it worked just in
frames of a release we would get something like Slackware on steroids,
but not Debian. Maintainers should understand it well :)
