FWIW, I think that "post-installation script" is fine. First, it is
self-explaining, and second, it can contribute to educate newbies (not
at all pejorative). This is what I consider an important positive aspect
of the Linux user experience[1] compared to the Windows one: usually,
software authors don't assume users are dumb and therefore don't hide
the reality. By regularly using the system and showing a minimum of
curiosity, you become more and more knowledgeable.
Just my 2 cents.
[1] Well, at least the Debian one.
