Bug#361080: xdvi does not display my dvi correctly



Yes that's true and I wondered the same thing, however I got the same message with the fedora version that displayed it correctly. The fact that the magnifier shows the text seems to point strongly at there being a bug. Also, the postscript image does display right only the text is missing. The DVI probably isn't wrong since dvipdf works.

If it were a postscript issue, wouldn't the graphics be wrong and the text right? In this case, the text is probably not part of the postscript since dvi2tty shows the text exactly where it is supposed to be but with no graphics.

Did you see the following message:

Warning: Raw Postscript commands on page 1 may be rendered incorrectly.

xdvi is not perfect in displaying PostScript.

Please use dvips and gv (or something similar).
