linuxdoc-tools maintainership
  Hi,

Just a note that the linuxdoc-tools set of utilities
appears currently unmaintained.  The previous maintainer,
Taketoshi Sano, hasn't shown much involvement and his
  debian homepage
  (http://www.debian.org/~sano/linuxdoc-tools/) is now
  defunct.

I'm sending this message out hoping to find a new
maintainer.  I'm told this would involve taking over the
debian linuxdoc-tools package and supplying revisions to
  other distributions.

There are several bug reports outstanding with the debian
bug tracker and more issues besides: David Lawyer from
TLDP.org adds "There are some things that need doing, like
making it simpler to include images as you point out above.
Another is having the text output generate plain text by
default instead of highlighted text containing escape
sequences that most text viewers don't know how to deal
with" and I have had problems with
 non-standard ascii
characters with the latest release (0.9.21) that were not
  evident with 0.9.20.

  Thanks, Steven Atkinson.
