I forgot to remove them. It's done now, and a new version will be
uploaded ASAP.

Result of dpkg --debug=10 [in Dutch]:

 Running /usr/sbin/update-language.
Running /usr/sbin/fmtutil-sys. This could take a while.
dpkg: fout tijdens opruimen:
subproces post-removal script gaf een foutwaarde 1 terug
D000010: ensure_pathname_nonexisting `/var/lib/dpkg/tmp.ci'
D000010: ensure_pathname_nonexisting running rm -rf
D000010: ensure_pathname_nonexisting `/var/lib/dpkg/reassemble.deb'
Fouten gevonden tijdens behandelen van:
 /usr/src/mypackages/latex-cjk/latex-cjk-chinese_4.6.0+cvs20051031-8_i386.deb

So it's not really an error message from update-language. Sorry.

Indeed. Suppose I had written "pyhpyph.tex" instead of "pyhyph.tex"
in the dh_installtex command, then it would give me at least a clue
that it can't find the file in the TEXMF tree.
