svn checkout svn+ssh://svn.debian.org/svn/pkg-tetex/tex-common/trunk destdir

should ask you for a password (unless you use ssh-agent) and checkout
the copy into destdir.  Note the additional /svn/ in the path, compared
to public read-only access.
