I am pretty sure that the metrics of the fonts changed, too. If one
where to introduce symlinks or add entries to /usr/share/texmf/aliases,
users with existing DVI files would probably get the famous 'wrong
checksum' errors. There might be other problems that I am not seeing
right now. However, the LM fonts are still in development, so people
using them have been warned. It might make sense, though, to ask on the
ConTeXt mailing list, if such a solution could cause problems.

Is there any way for packages to edit /usr/share/texmf/aliases? If not,
I would prefer symbolic links as temporal workaround, ie, until there is
a new release of the teTeX TEXMF tree including a current ConTeXt.
