etex exists but not einitex. Generally, initex is obsolete
and is now equivalent to "tex -init". Same for etex/einitex.
(einitex is obsoete and removed, it is equivalent to "etex -ini".)

In the same reasoning, there is no pdfeinitex but pdfetex.
kohda@ferio:~$ LANG=C ls /usr/bin/*initex
ls: /usr/bin/*initex: No such file or directory
kohda@ferio:~$ LANG=C ls -l /usr/bin/pdf*tex
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 956444 Oct 23 02:25 /usr/bin/pdfetex
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Oct 24 20:13 /usr/bin/pdflatex -> pdfetex
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Oct 24 20:13 /usr/bin/pdftex -> pdfetex
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 957436 Oct 23 02:25 /usr/bin/pdfxtex
