fontmap-cfg directory in tex-common (was: Bug#312888: [tex-live] Bug#312888: tetex-bin: Debian needs a tex-common package)

[Changed the subject to attract Florent's attention ;-)]

Looks okay, except one thing. What is the purpose of the "debian"
subdirectory here:

 drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 ./var/lib/tex-common/debian/
 drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 ./var/lib/tex-common/debian/fontmap-cfg/

Why not simply var/lib/tex-common/fontmap-cfg? I see that it's the same
in teTeX-3.0 packages, maybe Florent knows an explanation? I don't see
the purpose of a "debian" subdirectory in a debian package, at least not
at this place...

That's how they often are. Try to list the ITP bugs by date...
