Thanks for the report. Bug is sitting in tetex-base and has been
fixed in latest upload. language.dat is copied to /etc/texmf/ from
/usr/share/tetex-base/language.dflt during postin of tetex-bin. This
is only done if it doesn't exists yet, so just updating tetex-base
won't help you. Please fix the bug manually!
