NO, I don't want to change the orig.tar.gz. There are several options:
- put a patch in debian/patches (consistent with what we do in
tetex-base/bin, easy to understand for others, rather complex setup
for such a simple package)
- put the complete file into debian/ and cp -f it during build
(uncommon, quite obvious, but might be overlooked in rules file, easy
to do)
- put the new file in the place of the old file in the _unpacked_ source
tree, build the package.
The last option is ugly and arcane (you have to look at the diff.gz to
notice that we've patched the file), but it's even more easy to do. This
is what I suggested. Well, the bunch of additional bytes with the cp -f
option doesn't matter, we can well do this.
