Benoit, could you please check this?

Joey, can such corruption be caused by misbehaving packages, e.g. with
wron debconf calls? Or is it just a question of the filesystem, lack of
disk space and other local problems? 

I'm curious because we had two people reporting the same error message -
this seems to point to a more general problem. And I'd like to know
whether it's in our package.
