a few files have another path than in the original texmf-tree. We
deliver out a few directories^1, which contain just one file:
.need_me . Why do we need these?
psfonts.map, dvipdfm.map, pdftex.map and psfonts.map are provided by
TE, but we generate them IIRC.
Finally the files contained in orig, but not in Debian tar.gz:

doc/fonts/marvosym/astro.README
doc/fonts/marvosym/euro.README
doc/fonts/marvosym/zodiac.README

are soft links to README.1st.

doc/generic/pstricks/README.pst-osci

belongs to a package which is not contained due to license problems.
(#139931 ?)

doc/latex/caption/caption.dvi
tex/latex/caption/caption.sty

that stuff in question. Can be put back.

doc/latex/fancyvrb/fvrb-ex.dvi
tex/latex/fancyvrb/fvrb-ex.sty

see #177401

fonts/source/public/gothic/suet14.mf

I guess, cause of no copyright statement at all.

tex/latex/misc/euler.sty
doc/latex/styles/euler.dvi

is put in by diff.gz. Can be put back.

To be removed (or to be replaced by free versions): A few hyphenation
files (#139900), psfig.sty (#182324). Anything else?

I think now uploading an new tar ball should not be that hard. I
think not, that teTeX 3.0 comes out before sarge.

H.
